The third film in the series ”Ins Unbekannte der Musik”: Composer Annette Schmucki permits filmmaker Urs Graf to share important aspects of her life and work for two years – to witness the creation of a piece of music, from the very first inkling to the world premiere. After four months of work she mentions: “Now I’d exactly know how to continue this work if I continued the way one usually would, but this is not what I want; it is very important to me that I stay alert, so that there’s always the chance I may run into something unexpected, something that exceeds me, that exceeds what I can imagine, what I, myself, can conceive.” And later, as the piece starts getting its distinct form, she says: “What I’d like to happen at the concert in Zurich is that those who are kind of irritated or disconcerted when listening to it still may enjoy this disconcertment, may enjoy their amazement.”
